Aztec Label, based in Kidderminster, UK, has installed a new Nilpeter FB-3300 flexo press – the company’s 10th FB-Line machine – as part of a long-term strategy to scale production, support customer growth, and prepare for the future of label printing.

This milestone highlights consistency in the company’s approach: Investing in reliable technology, building long-term supplier partnerships, and nurturing the next generation – both in leadership and in mindset.

With more than 30 years in the industry, Aztec Label has grown steadily, while keeping full control of its operations. The recent acquisition of an additional production unit across the road from their existing 19,000 square foot site is a clear sign of confidence in the market and in its ability to deliver faster lead times, improved flexibility, and more sustainable solutions.

Owner and managing director Colin Le Gresley explains, “We’ve always believed in controlled, sustainable growth. That’s why we keep our manufacturing in-house and invest in technology that gives us flexibility and consistency. The new FB-3300 will help us meet rising demand without compromising on quality – and it’s another important step in future-proofing the business.”

Aztec’s relationship with Nilpeter spans decades, covering multiple site relocations, press installations, and now, generational change. The mutual understanding between the two family-owned businesses has proven to be a competitive advantage.

A notable aspect of Aztec’s recent evolution is the involvement of Le Gresley’s three sons: Oliver (26), and twins, James and Daniel (24). All three have taken active roles in the business – a move that not only supports succession planning, but brings new ideas and energy into daily operations. All of them have progressed through the system, covering production, pre-press, repro and plate making, finishing, despatch, and now more recently administrative roles. Adding to this strong family involvement, Colin’s wife, Sharon, also plays a key part in the company as Director, responsible for handling all their accounts – ensuring solid financial management and continuity at the heart of the business.
